Association of Nigerian Nurses in Ireland (ANNI) is a non-profit organization that is committed to addressing the integration, education, health, housing, social services, culture, and economic development needs of Nigerian Irish Nurses and other African immigrants in Ireland, through programs, services and advocacy. 

ANNI is a united organization of all the Nigerian Nurses in Ireland working to improve the health and quality of lives of Nigerians at home and abroad. 

Join us as all Nigerian Nurses in Ireland.  Come together as a unifying force in implementing strategies that will help influence health care policies and the Nursing profession in Nigeria. Together, we can make a difference.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a forum for collective action by Nigerian irish nurses to "investigate, define and determine issues affecting its members with a view to implement change to alleviate and improve living and working standards amongst members"

ANNI will be committed to excellence in education and aims to conduct continuing education programs for nurses and allied health professionals throughout the year. 

ANNI will collaborate with private and public agencies/organizations that share common concerns for improving health.
We intend to publish Newsletters four times a year: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. 

ANNI will also convene an Annual National Conference. The Association will host an Annual Conference in the summer of each year which will feature the most prominent speakers in Nursing and Health care.

Aims and Objectives

  • To provide practical help in order to improve healthcare facilities for the community in Nigeria and health care for the Nigerian community in Ireland. 
  • To support, and develop relevant skills that will enable the Nigerian community in Ireland’s progress 
  • To embrace and celebrate cultural diversity. 
  • To promote welfare. 
  • To help the young and old to cope with the multitudes of changes that are associated with general development. 
  • To use our expertise and experience to make practical contributions to the diversity of health care in Nigeria and to promote the interest of our members in Ireland.

The Association of Nigerian Nurses in Ireland (ANNI) will provide leadership to advance nursing practice, improve health care for all Africans and Irish, particularly the unserved and the underserved and shape health policy for the access and delivery of health care services. 

We will actively engage in the many issues currently challenging the profession of nursing. 
There is no better time than now that African nurses need to work together in their professional association to not only survive, but to prosper in this time of change in the reform of our health care system. 

The Association of Nigerian Nurses in Ireland (ANNI) was set up to relieve the burden and distress of our members and the public by the provision of practical contributions to the delivery of healthcare and to advance education by promoting health education in Nigeria and Ireland.
